A San Francisco jury has awarded $596K to a motorcyclist seriously injured when a car failed to ‘yield the right of way’ and struck him. The Plaintiff was represented by experienced Sacramento motorcycle accident attorneys, Eric Ratinoff and J.R. Parker.

motorcycleVcarThe insurance company for individual driving the car tried to shift the blame onto the Plaintiff, claiming he was at least 75% at fault for the collision due to his speed.  Based upon the evidence presented, the jury disagreed and awarded the motorcyclist for medical bills, past pain and suffering, and future damages.

Kershaw, Cutter & Ratinoff, attorney Eric Ratinoff was pleased with the verdict. “We are very proud of our client who pursued this matter with dignity and never gave up in the face of a defense that unfairly tried to shift the lion’s share of the blame onto him,” adding, “At the end of the day the jury agreed with us, awarding him more than 20 times the highest pre-trial offer.”

Cutter Law Attorney J.R. Parker, agrees. “We’re often forced to go to trial when reasonable and responsible settlements that can help to make our clients whole can’t be reached. But if that’s the case, we’re fully prepared with the experience and resources necessary to try cases. Obviously, we’re pleased with the outcome of this case and what it means to our client.”
