The future could see many different things here in the U.S. when it comes to auto technology. For one, it might see wide-scale implementation of self-driving car technology. If full implementation of this technology were to occur, it would likely have all kinds of impacts out on the roads. Would this include a virtual elimination of distracted driving? A recent survey indicates that many drivers think that it would.

In the survey, which was conducted from Feb. 28 to March 2, 3,000 licensed drivers were polled on self-driving technology. Of the respondents, 59 percent indicated that they thought that this technology would eventually bring an end to distracted driving.

A great deal of harm can come out of distracted driving. So, what impacts self-driving car technology and other auto tech would have on the occurrence levels of this dangerous driving conduct is a significant issue. Do you think self-driving technology could end up eliminating distracted driving out on the roads?

Now, even if self-driving technology does prove to be the long-term solution to the problem of distracted driving, this does not mean that it becomes any less important for drivers and officials to focus on ways to bring distracted driving down in the meantime. Distracted driving is currently a significant traffic safety problem in the U.S., and what steps are taken to address it can matter considerably. What do you think should be done here in California to help with reducing distracted driving?

All kinds of impactful injuries can come out of distracted driving accidents. When a person ends up getting harmed as a result of encountering a distracted driver out on the roads, what happens when it comes to compensation-related matters connected to their injuries could have significant impacts on their future. Victims of distracted drivers can go to experienced personal injury attorneys for help with navigating such matters.
