Previously, Bryana worked for four years in an assisted living facility as a caregiver for people with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. She worked one on one with residents to enrich their lives by putting together individualized activities reminiscent of activities they enjoyed prediagnosis. She became interested in law while taking a course in college as part of her medical assistant training. The course mainly focused on medical malpractice and how to avoid it, as well as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliance. Learning the laws that protect patients' rights fascinated Bryana and piqued her interest in the legal field.
